PisoYarn is an expense tracker made by AppWave Studio. It works entirely on your phone.

What we collect

Nothing. PisoYarn has no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no ads. We never receive your expenses, goals, habits, reflections, receipts or settings.

Where your data lives

Everything you enter is stored in a database inside the app on your device. Receipt photos are saved in the app's private storage. Uninstalling the app removes it from your phone (see "Android device backup" below for copies your phone may keep). You can delete everything at any time from Me → Your data → Delete all data.

No ads, analytics or crash reporting

PisoYarn contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting libraries and does not need an internet connection. Nothing is sent to us, including when the app crashes.

When data leaves your phone

Only when you choose to share it. From the app you can export a CSV of your expenses, a ZIP of your receipt photos, or a JSON backup of all your data. The app creates the file on your phone and opens your phone's share sheet, and you decide where it goes (a cloud drive, email, another app or a local folder). PisoYarn itself uploads nothing.

Restoring a backup

You can restore from a JSON backup file by picking it yourself. The file is read on your phone.

Android device backup

Android's system backup is usually turned on by default. When it is on, Android may copy PisoYarn's data, including your database and receipt photos, to your Google account backup, and may restore it if you reinstall the app or set up a new phone. This is managed by your phone's settings and Google, not by PisoYarn or AppWave Studio, and PisoYarn never sees or receives that copy. You can turn it off in your phone's backup settings (usually Settings → Google → Backup).

Device features

• Camera and photos: only when you choose to attach a receipt. You take a photo or pick each image yourself; the app does not browse your gallery.
• Notifications: only for reminders you turn on. They are scheduled on the device. PisoYarn also asks to run at start-up so your reminders come back after your phone restarts.
• Face ID / fingerprint: only if you turn on app lock. Biometric data is handled by your phone's operating system and is never seen by PisoYarn.
• Home screen widget: if you add it, it shows a summary from your on-device data on your home screen. It is not sent anywhere.

Children

PisoYarn is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
